By The Pike - Search for Excellence

“If you want to be a good saddler, saddle the worst horse; for if you can tame one, you can tame all.”

In every one of us there are two ruling and directing principles, the one being an innate desire of pleasure; the other, an acquired judgment which aspires after excellence.

Excellence is more than being good at something. Excellence comes from a standard established in attitude, perception, and actions.

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is a habit; a comitment to one's self.

Excellence comes from questioning policies, procedures, baselines, the obvious. motives and intentions. Questioning then digs deeper into assumptions, perceptions, and examines the premises of the questions themselves.

Excellence is in the search for Truth and objective results.
